Hello world and welcome to our new blog (style) website where we will be posting news articles, future events and our weekly/podcasts. The whole idea behind this podcast and website is to provide coverage of youth, high school, collegiate and professional hockey in Minnesota!
I had the idea last year during the boys state high school hockey tournament when I was only able to attend the Thursday games. I was frustrated that I couldn’t find any coverage (other that ch 45 and the trib’s hockey hub) of the games.
Although this isn’t a radio or television broadcast, we can and will do a video podcast that will be posted on our YouTube channel and then distributed / linked to our website, Facebook fan page and uploaded to iTunes and other platforms that you can get podcasts from.
My name is John Sarzoza Jr (aka “JR”) and my co-founder and co-host is Andy Roeser. I am a business development consultant who helps small business owners grow their businesses by providing consulting services in the area of sales and marketing, accounting and finance, technology and operational efficiency. Andy Roeser is a senior project manager at CIT and like me, is a HUGE hockey fan and has a ton of experience in the entertainment and media .
Andy and I are cousins and grew up together and both played hockey all our lives including against ourselves in our parents driveway and the mean streets in front of our houses. LOL Many cross checks, slashing and punches were thrown over the years and the bruises and black eyes have led us to this point in time where we can further our passion for the game by covering ALL aspects of hockey in our own special and unique way……via a video podcast.

This is NOT meant to be an official website or coverage for any team or legue. It’s just a couple of knuckleheads yappn’ about hockey in a semi-structred way on a podcast known as, The Penalty Box Podcast (PBP).
